Correspondent Lee Cowan looks at how some works that fall into public domain (like F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby,” Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, and Walt Disney’s original Mickey Mouse) are being revived in new forms.
